Transition to Electric Vehicles

Accelerating the transition to zero and low emission mobility is target for all the countries in the upcoming years. Electric Vehicles play a huge role in this transition. As Electric vehicle uses electric energy for propulsion and charging the battery is similar like filling the fuel tank for petrol/diesel vehicles. Charging of EV are classified into AC Charging and DC Charging. During AC Charging the vehicle on board charger is used to convert the Alternating current (AC) to Direct current (DC) and then supply to battery. The key parameter when choosing an electric car is the capacity of this on-board (built-in) charger because the car's charging speed depends on how fast this on-board system can receive the alternating current from the source and on how many phases it is able to use. Generally, AC Charging can be done at home using wall socket or can be done using Wall box DC charging (also called fast charging), is done using a DC charging station, which can change the alternating current (AC) to direct current (DC), it then "bypasses" the on-board charger of the electric car and sends this direct current to the battery which results in faster charging Based on the geographical regions there are different charging standards, and the charging cables and vehicle inlets present in the vehicle also differ. We are looking forward to providing you the right solutions. S2 Technology GmbH – Expert Engineers with E-Mobility Passion #electricvehicle #electricvehicles #technology #change
